It appears that it’s an AI-powered legal service with potentially real consequences, no? The AI jury part seems insane, but if this makes it cheap and easy for the rich to sue ANYONE and at scale, that’s a huge free speech issue imo

These doomers may be right, but they also play into a game AI CEOs love to play. Saying Gen AI is extremely dangerous is the same as saying it’s extremely powerful. It fans the hype.

Besides being a false equivalency, if we want to use that example, it’s like being pro-computers while IBM was helping Nazis commit genocide. The context of the time we live in, matters.

A well-know creative leader just told me that saying we should resist AI because it’s being used for mass surveillance, war (domestic & international), misinformation, racism etc is the same as saying designers should have not used computers and quit design, because the govt uses them for bad things

how can we be locked in our cognitive cells, if we refuse to enter their prisons? how can they justify pouring billions into a technology that so many hate and do not want? how can they keep selling a future that is so incredibly divorced from the present reality?

do yourself a favor. resist.

meanwhile tech billionaire ai ceos beg us to accept this slop, and tell us we must create a "new equilibrium", where we do not judge ai outputs so harshly. they say that our resistance is harmful to adoption and society, that we must use ai and we must use it as much as possible.

every day we're served slop. in our feeds, on all of our screens and in our jobs. government manufactured violence is couched between ai kittens swimming in rainbow pools and cute(?) ai fruit eating itself.

extreme techno-optimism, mixed w/ authoritarianism, surveillance and xenophobia have become the new american manifesto. billionaires get richer while we're mired in uncertainty, fear and ai-enabled shackles.
