It is.

We'll be out there on July 17th! Will we see you there???
The ICE camps are concentration camps. They should be called concentration camps.
It is, of course, important to distinguish between concentration camps and death camps, but also, I am not sure we will know when or if we undergo the transition from concentration camps into death camps.
Boycott all this shit.
Less than a year ago @nytimes.com was sent hacked data about Trump's vetting of JD Vance, which they refused to publish.
But Mamdami's hacked college application gets an exception because of interest from random online Nazis and Chris Rufo, the NYTimes' de facto executive editor.
As someone who lived in New Orleans during the thing you call Katrina, I’m here to say that the time to politicize governmental failure in a tragedy is when anyone is still paying attention.
Together, we have mobilized the largest protests in American history.
Nearly 70% of people opposed the Trump regime’s horrible bill.
Organizers have banded together to protect their communities from ICE.
Remember—they want us to feel isolated. We are not.
We are the many, and we hold the power.
Also! It’s NOT hard to leave X. I left a year ago and haven’t missed it. BlueSky is actually better.
our country rn
Do not lose hope.
You are not alone.
Most of America rejects this.
The people do not want an authoritarian regime—we do not want oligarchy, we do not want Christian nationalism, we do not want techno-fascism.
And we’re more powerful than they’ll ever be. The people united will never be defeated.
A black and white graphic with an image of ACLU Co-Founder Roger Baldwin on the right, and the U.S. Supreme Court building in the background, with a quote from Baldwin in black text on the left: “Silence never won rights. They are not handed down from above—they’re forced from pressures from below.” The ACLU logo is featured in light blue at the bottom.
We will always fight for the country we want to live in.
We do not enjoy this holiday. :(

America is beautiful, contradictory, unfinished. I am proud of our country even as we constantly strive to make it better, to protect and deepen our democracy, to fulfill its promise for each and every person who calls it home.
Happy Independence Day. No Kings in America.
The GOP passed a budget that will eviscerate health care in rural areas. They delayed much of the impact for after the midterms, hoping the public will think any discussion of the impending collapse is hyperbolic.
Local reporters have a chance to do service journalism that'll make a splash too.
Once again, this is a massive public jobs program for fascists.
This bill was never just about tax cuts and gutting social services. It's about investing our collective resources in violence and using state power to spread fear and destroy solidarity. We need to resist this with all we've got.
I am grieving the barbarism that is going to unfurl from all this. People are going to die. Livelihoods gone. All to feed a corrupt kleptocracy.
I see every day up close how different it is from the first time around. There are no guardrails. A disaster. I’m sorry we have to live through this.
This series from SFWA, "Creators and Their Contracts", comes directly from our Writer Beware program. This article is for informational purposes only, and is not intended as legal commentary or advice.
It's a wild world—which is why writers rely on community to figure out what's important and what's unusual in our industries. For this first piece in "Writer Beware® Presents: Creators and Their Contracts", we dive into moral rights.
What do writers need to know?

It really is time to defund the government.
American fashion designer Willy Chavarria starts his show with a performance dedicated to those illegally detained by ICE.
republicans keep making life worse for working people and better for the rich and then we have elections and they’re like no that’s not true! and people believe them and then they just do it all again and it’s enough to make a rational person feel absolutely fucking insane
Last night a bunch of Republicans in the House were saying how awful this bill was.
Only took a couple hours, some merch, and a few words from Donald Trump, and they’re lining up to rip away health care from 17 MILLION people.
I’m sadly not surprised — but I am still outraged.
The next Democratic president can just impound the billions of extra ICE funding on day one, right? Withhold it without any explanation? Since that’s a thing presidents can do now?
We are finally hearing firsthand what happened at CECOT.
At least 277 people illegally rendered from the US remain there, and President Trump is now talking about sending American citizens there.
Do not let this slip from view.
But Trump still doesn’t seem to have a firm grasp about what his signature legislative achievement does. According to three sources with direct knowledge of the comments, the president told Republicans at this meeting that there are three things Congress shouldn’t touch if they want to win elections: Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security. “But we’re touching Medicaid in this bill,” one member responded to Trump, according to the three sources.
Helluva @notusreports.bsky.social scoop showing that Trump has no idea what's in his budget bill. Seems like something that ought to get a lot more attention.
Also this: a republican house member actually admits that they are attacking medicaid. Yes, they are.

🧵1/ The GOP’s latest scheme would force states to pay for a share of SNAP food benefits based on “payment error rates.”
This would be catastrophic for states, including Maine. Here’s what you need to know. 👇
There is still time to stop this. They are vulnerable. Light up their phone lines.
Start with the reps on this list in your state. Share this graphic with friends and family, and tell them to get on the phone ASAP too.
Voting starts at 9am ET today.
Don't threaten me with a good time.
Amid all of this hilarity, there’s rarely a mention of the detainees as human beings who have been plucked from their lives, sometimes without cause. | Opinion
