Hello. Yes please

So should most of the people you went to school with
Do you like to play too or just spectate?
No wait, pigeon has just been usurped by 'Man waving at her'
Ah that sounds like something to look forward to. Being around like-minded folks is priceless
'You've got to hold and give, but do it at the right time
You can be slow or fast, but you must get to the line
They'll always hit you and hurt you, defend and attack
There's only one way to beat them, get round the back'
Yes, me too. I find people so tiring. It is a wonderful thing to find people with whom you can be entirely yourself. I have spent a lifetime masking around my family and it is hard. I completely understand why being in your own company is the safest space
I mean in all seriousness, sometimes the hardest people are not monsters, just deeply misshapen by their own history, which can make them exhausting, manipulative, needy, impossible to please. Understanding that makes them easier to comprehend, but it doesn't diminish their impact on you.
Ah, this is lovely. Thank you! I think I will find this useful.
The “jolly” nurse has now been demoted, and the smug, overfed wood pigeon on the bird feeder is the new object of my mother’s ire. Quite how being nice to her counted against the nurse remains unclear.
I got really upset when i realised my phone just archives all my open tabs after something like a month. I was like 'I WAS LOOKING AT THOSE!'
I mean, I wasn't upset about it
haha. AUDHD, love - 27 billion tabs all at the same time
Happy, happy birthday! 🎂
I’ve reached that stage of the day already where I’m being shown “things you didn’t know about Krull” and am, apparently, watching them. Any distraction is welcome, tbqh.
Ah yes, house spiders don't like being outside. I'm very lucky that spideys do not bother me. I have friends with arachnophobia and I have often been called to their houses to rescue them from spideys (I really see it as rescuing the spiders TBQH). They come home with me so the don't die of exposure
I initially read this as ‘anthropomorphic plants’, which conjured up a sort of low-grade dystopia involving aggressive topiary in middle management
Mother was dismayed that I liberated the rogue slug found on the living room carpet rather than cruelly dispatching it. 'It'll only come back in again.'
THEY'RE NOT FUCKING HOMING PIGEONS, KATHLEEN
Three panel comic. Panel 1: scene from the movie Aliens; Ripley is in a mech suit and delivers her iconic line: “get away from her, you bitch!” Panel 2: the xenomorph queen lunges at Ripley in the robotic suit and they engage in a fight. Panel 3: later, the xenomorph queen is standing in the shower, mid wash. She says, “‘it takes one to know one, honey.’ That’s what I should have said.”
Realising it wasn’t one dramatic decision that got me here, but a thousand tiny capitulations in pursuit of an easy life. So now I’m 50, looking around and thinking, how the hell is this my life? Bleak. Still, I’ve found my mother’s *in-date* biscuit stash, so things aren't a total write-off.
And more Jack content, ofc
Post scenic pics when you get a chance!
As long as the most important member of the family is happy, then all is well. Are you having lots of lovely walks?
I give you 'Snooker Loopy' by Chas n' Dave in exchange
Thank you. Now it's wedged in my head alongside the other three that play simultaneously on a loop, every. goddamn. day.
Ooh you can see the sea, and a beautiful doggy! The perfect way to wake up, I reckon!
She has the best face of all the face. 10/10 best face-having skills
This picture makes me very happy. There's nothing more like actual magic than growing things.
Would you ever!
I understand. Poor old Timber was the same but it could be displayed as aggression with people who didn't understand how to be around dogs. It was sad. I'm glad she has such a lovely life with you, you were lucky beans to find each other
