It's time once again where I tweet my frustration with people who continue to say "110/220" when describing the US electrical system voltage.
It's 120/240. Isn't it nice how it's 120V at 60Hz? The voltage number is double the frequency number!
Every time you say 110 you're ruining that.

There is a genre of tweet on this site that is just re-writing the sentence “Remember, the people you don’t like are bad people and you’re a good person for hating them” and it always gets over 10,000 likes but then this person gets 10 likes on their amazing nudibranch and I do worry about us…
I would like to lodge a formal complaint against the words “numerator” and “denominator.”
If we wanted people to hate fractions more, we could not have picked better words.
The iPhone sleep timer being buried in the clock app as a specific alarm “sound” will never seize to puzzle me… like it just seems so out of place?
For what it’s worth FRED is an under-appreciated tool! Certainly one of the best government data exploration tools out there, especially for those new to economics or the general public!
