I want a government that's actively reducing the risk of my life/house/family being destroyed by wildfire, epidemics, hurricanes, serious health diagnosis, floods, unemployment, landslides, critical goods shortages, violence, dust storms, etc.

The last people I want in charge of making those cuts are an egomaniacal billionaire who thinks money = wisdom and won't be affected because he can easily afford to pay for everything privately, and his team of overpaid 20-somethings who have never had to take care of anyone else in their lives.

The federal government gives me very good value for my tax dollars. Could it be streamlined? Sure, but I want it pruned by someone with some basic concept of the value of what they're cutting.

I don't have $$$ to spare to pay for private fire fighting, policing, military protection, medical research, scientific research, buying land for recreation, private verification my food and water are safe, weather alerts, support for the arts, and foreign aid.

Why do I support my tax dollars going to various federal agencies?
Because I'm already living paycheck to paycheck, paying for housing, childcare, health deductibles, insurance, glasses & dental care (somehow not part of healthcare), saving for college & retirement, etc.
