On the news I saw another horrible video of a Hispanic family being racially profiled and arrested, including a 1 year old girl separated from her parents. Turns out everyone is a citizen and released ⤵️

I was watching a few minutes of the news , and it dawned on me that Republicans blinded by racism absolutely played the wrong hand. Back in election history, after a loss they did a smart thing. They forensically looked at what went wrong. Turned out that they had a real problem with BIPOC voters ⤵️

In my local community we are doing pretty good with mutual aid at least with food for now. We recently survived a natural disaster without much assistance from the government , so a lot of community support has reflexively emerged. Thankfully!!

If you don’t like the politics of the past start showing up and shaping the politics of the future. Be a voice, be a trusted person in the coalition of resistance. Volunteer, when you can. Take it at your own pace, but push your comfort zone. Solidarity is the best defense against oppression.

Now more than ever we need to build community, collaborate, and cooperate in person, in your community. As an unaffiliated voter I started showing up to community meetings, progressive Dem meetings, and eventually county Dem meetings. What I learned is that grandmas are doing most of the work.

Too many Americans are enjoying what’s happening. Those people that aren’t happy need to start showing up in person and building connections and community. Cooperation, solidarity, and collaboration are needed more than ever. Show up at your local organizing meetings, get plugged in.

So the Epstein vote isn't the only reason Mike Johnson should fear Rep. Yassamin Ansari. More of this, please.
