If not Nazi, then at least Nazi-curious.

Don’t fuck this up, Virginia!
Remember: anyone voting against redistricting never gets to whine about Dems “not fighting” ever ever again.
If you don’t see by now that they never wanted to go after “the worst of the worst” but instead just wanted to go after everybody who isn’t white who can be deported, the reason is because you don’t want to. Probably because you don’t care because you think it won’t affect you.
"You didn't pander to sensitive boys enough", from the same people that will write "Wokeness: pandering to sensitive minorities?" stories.
This was their response:
Just a slightly different headline from @financialtimes.com

I urge you to go read the article I linked, and the sources it links out to. They are very thorough about explaining the situation with the tattoo policy and make it absolutely clear that Platner is, at best, trying to mislead people and at worst lying.
2. EFFECTIVE 1 APRIL 2007, PARAGRAPH 1004.1C OF MCO P1020.34G, MARINE CORPS UNIFORM REGULATIONS, IS CANCELLED AND REPLACED WITH THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPH. "... MARINES ARE PROHIBITED FROM: C. TATTOOS OR BRANDS ON THE HEAD AND NECK. SLEEVE TATTOOS ARE LIKEWISE PROHIBITED. A SLEEVE TATTOO IS A VERY LARGE TATTOO, OR A COLLECTION OF SMALLER TATTOOS, THAT COVERS OR ALMOST COVERS A PERSON S ENTIRE ARM OR LEG. HALF-SLEEVE OR QUARTER-SLEEVE TATTOOS THAT ARE VISIBLE TO THE EYE WHEN WEARING STANDARD PT GEAR (T-SHIRT AND SHORTS) ARE LIKEWISE PROHIBITED. A HALF-SLEEVE OR QUARTER-SLEEVE TATTOO IS DEFINED AS A VERY LARGE TATTOO, OR A COLLECTION OF SMALLER TATTOOS THAT COVERS, OR ALMOST COVERS, THE ENTIRE PORTION OF AN ARM OR LEG ABOVE OR BELOW THE ELBOW OR KNEE. TATTOOS OR BRANDS THAT ARE PREJUDICIAL TO GOOD ORDER, DISCIPLINE AND MORALE, OR ARE OF A NATURE TO BRING DISCREDIT UPON THE MARINE CORPS ARE ALSO PROHIBITED PREJUDICIAL TO GOOD ORDER, DISCIPLINE AND MORALE, OR ARE OF A NATURE TO BRING DISCREDIT UPON THE MARINE CORPS MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, ANY TATTOO THAT IS SEXIST, RACIST, VULGAR, ANTI-AMERICAN, ANTI-SOCIAL, GANG RELATED, OR EXTREMIST GROUP OR ORGANIZATION RELATED." 3. THE FOLLOWING NEW SUPARAGRAPHS 1004.1C(1) AND 1004. 1C(2) ARE ADDED. "(1) MARINES WHO CURRENTLY HAVE A SLEEVE TATTOO(S) WILL BE GRANDFATHERED
The anti-sleeve policy was adopted by the Marines in 2007, and explicitly exempted anyone who already was in the Marines and already had sleeves. Platner was in the Marines in 2007, and already had sleeves, therefore he was exempt. The sleeves did not prevent him re-enlisting. The Totenkopf did.
Yeah, his fans don't care and never will care. Which speaks volumes about them.
The overwhelmingly more likely case is that the Marine Corps told him he could not re-enlist with the Totenkopf tattoo, and would have explained to him, at that time, what it was and what it was a symbol of.
Platner's own claim is that he tried to re-enlist specifically in the Marines in 2009, and was not allowed to do so because of a newly-adopted Marines-specific tattoo policy. He implies it's because of his arm tattoos ("sleeves"), but the the policy likely would have exempted those for him.
Counter-counterpoint: rural Virginians are the ones *currently* fucking *themselves* over with their votes. Gerrymandering that away from them fucks them over *less*, by any meaningful metric.
This should be a much bigger story.
The Trump administration is about to hand TotalEnergies, a French oil company, nearly $1 billion of your money to cancel its American offshore wind projects. And they are pulling the cash from an account they are not allowed to use this way.🧵
Bernie Sanders endorsed this guy too. So...Are we going to talk about this?
“I like killing dudes as much as the next guy, but Christ is that a lot of money spent to smoke one kid with a rifle. We've made even minor war prohibitively expensive.” Platner 2013
Lol, is Bernie Sanders going to have to drop "billionaires" from his "fight the oligarchy" speech now? Or is he going to means-test which billionaires he rails against?
What a conundrum! 😂😂😂😂😂
Democrats are the ONLY party working to lower your health care costs, expand access to health care, & eliminate disparities in our system.
That’s why I recently reintroduced the Momnibus— comprehensive legislation to end preventable maternal death & save moms’ lives.
Representative Underwood continues to be the most impactful, hardest working MoC. Thank you so much, ma'am, for continuing to work for the health and safety of Americans! ❤️
This isn't really a comment on if Mamdani is doing a good or bad job as Mayor, just to say lots of people act like he's wildly popular and copying him is a key to victory, he has a 48% approval
Both parties are not the same!
the thing about protectionism is when we did it in the 1990s we made our auto manufacturers less able to compete through the early 2000s, which ended up getting close to killing gm and ford in addition to chrysler.
PA could have had a real Senator. Either Lamb or Kenyatta would have done a great job, not just for PA, but on votes that affect the nation.
Maine still has a chance to stop another Fetterman.
I don’t think this game of “The serious candidate gives a suboptimal answer and gets hammered for it, but the clown candidate gets a free pass for being a clown” is a sustainable way to do politics.
I’m so tired of this trash talking.
Joe Biden geared a tremendous amount of the ample economic and industrial legislation he got passed at red/rural areas in particular. Their thanks for that was to vote in even higher numbers for the guy that promised to nuke all that fresh investment that was sent their way.
Every time we talk about how there's secret Republican votes if we fix rural healthcare - I have to remind you from practical experience, no, no there isn't. We should expand Medicaid everywhere cause it's the right thing to do, but don't expect rural conservatives to credit you. They won't.
Really cannot be emphasized enough how much the ownership and leadership of the NYT just straight up like Trump
