Some homeowners from upper Nantucket
Were sliding into a bucket
To move would be better
But would cost too much cheddar
So they decided to stay and say "fuck it."

Being an American is absolutely mortifying. I am so sorry we live in a country of morons, racists, misogynists and bigots who voted for this man. I don’t know what to do. We screamed for a decade about Trump being an unhinged psychopath and they did not listen.

I swear to fucking heaven the American administration creating constant existential crises & the legitimate worry that a mad king will use a tactical nuclear weapon in a war of aggression (PICK YOUR MAD KING THERE'S TWO OF THEM) are responsible for a global mental health crisis, the last ten years.

Ooh, been thinking about buying one of those, especially since the Omnichord is so ridiculously expensive. Hope you love it. Also really need to get re-acquainted with my harmonicas, think they're jealous of the ukuleles.

The cover for Village Fool by 'Nathan Burgoine; an illustrated cover by Inkspiral Design: a bearded man in khakis and a loose green-grey shirt is walking in the rain beside a coffee shop called "Bittersweets," where a more fashionably dressed fellow in a yellow coat, blue scarf, and brown trousers is sitting under the awning and using his phone. The title "Village Fool" has a card for "Village" covering what you can just make out is "April" underneath it.

Today’s the day you can’t trust anything, but I promise this will take you to a link for a queer romance novella.

Because of a prank, a fellow spends the day texting sexy thoughts about his former physiotherapist… to his former physiotherapist. #BookSky

Hello, it’s Autism Acceptance Month (awareness is so 1998. There are too many people who are aware yet uninformed). A reminder that the fucking puzzle pieces are a symbol of Autism Speaks, more accurately represented as Autism (Mommy Martyr) Speaks (Over Autistic People).

Today was long and exhausting, but we got some warmer weather, (for now), and the Mets won their home opener, knocking out one of the best pitchers in baseball in the process. Hope that's only the first incredible game of this season. #LGM

instead of watching the new harry potter trailer, why not pick up some horror books by trans and nb writers for the trans rights readathon?? there are so many good options.
For example, check out some of these writers:

Just back from seeing it with my dad and brother. What a delightful movie, and I desperately want a Rocky plush now. Also got to see the Sheep Detectives trailer, that looks fun too.

Sadly wasn't able to enjoy the movie with AD as the theater was having some technical difficulties, but between whispered narration from my dad and my recent reading of the book, I was able to keep up pretty well. Already looking forward to a re-watch with description enabled.

Just saw Project Hail Mary, which was delightful and exactly the sort of optimistic story we all need right now. Also I need to find a Rocky plushie ASAP. Think he'd make an inspirational desk companion.

Hi all. Yes I know, it's been a while. Just thought I'd pop in and wish everyone a Happy Spring!! The weather and general state of the world remain shitty, but the season still turns, baseball's back next week, and the mourning doves are cooing outside my window. I love this time of year.

The GOP is a party of hardcore, unrepentant racists who are pushing for voter ID by claiming it is needed in order to prevent voter fraud--which is a decades-long lie that was always intended to lay the groundwork for disenfranchising non-white citizens. There is no nuance; that is all this is.

Tales of Inthya Masterpost

Hi! My name is Effie, and I’m the author of Tales of Inthya, which is a high fantasy series set in a queernormative world centered around several different sapphic couples with unpronounceable names.

The books have been out of print since 2024 and I am slowly re-releasing them with new cover art and edits and bonus content.

The first book (pictured here) is available in print, ebook, and audiobook format.

Book two should be out by summer 2026.

They used to look like this!

(There are six book covers, the now out of print Tales of Inthya books)

However, I no longer have the rights to these covers!

That’s okay though because I found a great artist to do new ones!

The first book in the series, The Queen of Ieflaria, is about Princess Esofi of Rhodia and Crown Princess Adale of Ieflaria.

“Are all your proper nouns this bad?” YES!!!!!!!

THAT’S GENRE FANTASY, BABEY!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, Princess Esofi has been engaged to Crown Prince Albion since basically forever. But she’s never met him because they live on different continents, just like you and all your mutuals.

Esofi and all six hundred of her ballgowns travel to Ieflaria for the wedding, but when she gets there it turns out the prince recently died in a tragic plot contrivance.

Now she’s got to marry Albion’s younger sister, the new Crown Princess Adale. The world runs on video game rules when it comes to romance and sexual orientation* so this isn’t a big deal.

Except Adale doesn’t want to rule the kingdom or marry a stranger because she’s afraid her undiagnosed learning disorder will lead the kingdom to ruin.

Also there are dragons.

*The reason why the world works this way is slowly revealed over the course of the series.

We read the teleplay for this episode in one of my English classes, 7th-grade I think. Didn't appreciate what it was doing at the time, but we all had fun humming the Twilight Zone theme.
