So, what wording would you use to keep the intended distinction? "Constructed or discovered"? "Made-up or discovered"? "Designed or discovered"? It's an interesting exercise, because many other synonyms have slightly unfitting connotations which would make it sound funny to the English speaker.

Виждам различни дължини на pantalettes, от глезените през средата на прасеца до картинката на hemlock където са по-къси от полата и не се виждат (но думата може да е drawers а не pantalettes). А в БГ през 19в носията мисля не е ползвала долни гащи, жените са носили дълга риза и отдолу голи.

Аз като малка научих думата "пенкилер" от Том Сойер, там в бележка под линия беше обяснена като "лекарство за всичко" и се чудех защо ако има лекарство за всичко хората умират, и какво общо имат килерите с лекарствата.

Като научих английски, се усетих че преводачът се е затруднил с painkiller.
