Ah right, this is a double standards thing. Ok, as you were.

Including the hostages in the north of the island? Mind you, we only have ourselves to blame.

What a farrago of half-arsed bollocks. About as transparent as it gets, even for the Graun. A rare example where the headline is the most reasoned feature of the article.
He's about to pioneer a whole new category of divorced.
Just. Scary.
Goddamn, I was in the pub and couldn't tune in. I suspect the answer is no but is there a way to listen back?
They have a selection of words that they mix up to meet whichever bs sounds truthy in an evil liar kinda way
It's a constant source of fascination for me how Western society made it out of that time with actual progeny. Some bloody amazing music tho.

That is (was π) a beauty!
Just been reminded of the time I coded a swarm of flies in Excel cos I was bored at work. Benefit of being a coder is it all looks like work no matter what random pish yer up to π€£
All images I post on BlueSky are my own work, unless otherwise stated.
Some of my posts may be watermarked "bIackworx", "windyhorace" or "photogob". These are all aliases I have used and occasionally still use elsewhere.
(Back story: I just got a DM suggesting I posted a photo that wasn't mine.)
I do love big random pompom poppies like that!
Close up photo of a dahlia flower not yet fully open. The inner petals are mostly intense green, and the outer ones are bright white with green fringes. Light is glowing through the flower from behind, which especially noticeable with the whiter outer petals.

The thing that *really* confuses me is that they seem to expect it to work. One minute it's "we need to have an honest conversation" the next it's "round em up and kick em out". It's beyond insane.
Every time I've asked Google a yes or no question recently, the AI has given me wrong info. Most recently related to a 240V electrical safety question. I think you may be on to something.
Having really strong ad and tracker blocking active on my devices, I've noticed just how much of every Google results page is a paid link now (because my blocking breaks the links). It's almost getting to the point where you need to "show more results" to, y'know, GET actual results.
It's a pity Father Ted can't escape him.
Oops didn't realise you were Scottish as well! I'm Dundonian and it's something I heard a lot growing up. Dropping the contraction, "men like you, who are..." sounds more natural to me than "men like you, that are..."
But then again I'm no linguist. In fact, worse in this context, I'm a coder.
*its. Autocarrot determined to satirise me in real time π
I dunno about who're ... it's a common contraction in Scottish dialects. It's definitely an odd one to put in writing though... literally no characters apart from a single space are "saved" in it's use π
Imane Khelif scavenged and sold scrap metal as a kid so she should afford the bus to football training because her dad refused to drive her because he thought sport wasn't for girls. Then she was assaulted and beaten by boys who also didn't want girls to play, so she learned to box to defend herself

London calling, yes, I was there too
And you know what they said? Well, some of it was true!
London calling at the top of the dial
And after all this, won't you give me a smile?

We are looking down the centre line of the long, twin-apexed roof of a set of Scottish tenements at dusk. The lower half of the picture is framed by slate tiles and roof vents. The top half is framed by deep blue sky and rows of chimney pots at various distances. A woman with red hair and wearing a black vest top sits cross-legged on a low wall in the middle right of the frame, between two lines of chimneys and with a wine glass on the wall beside her. The long exposure combined with her movement has blurred the woman. Beside her on the wall are a large loudspeaker lying on its side, and a lamp which is illuminating the scene. On top of the loudspeaker is the another glass of wine. At the woman's feet are blankets and cushions.

I'm really, really glad MTG is as stupid as she is. That much hate combined with even average intelligence would be extremely dangerous.
