Drek'thar: "I propose we form the Frostpike Vanguard to defend the lands of Alterac....together!!!!"
Vandar: "Aye, I can get behind that. Don't think this makes us friends tho."
Drek'thar: "How about frienimies?"
Vandar: "I suppose that can work, lets go get some ales at the Arcantina, my treat"๐

Drek'thar: "Grrrr! I still don't like you dwarf, but I am old now and I can war no longer, I want peace."
Vandar: "Grrrr! I don't like you either, but perhaps some artifacts should remain buried for the greater good.
2 parts of the whole narrative
I think the worst zone is Eversong. Like, I kid you not, it feels like there's a hostile Lynx next to every goddamn herb node. Like, I'll just be picking some flowers and a random Lynx will just pull up on me from over a hill or smthg ๐
True unity amongst the elven people.
Among other things
BUT WITHOUT TURNING CAPITOL CITY OR UNDERCITY INTO A NEUTRAL HUB
How do you do, fellow dorei?
So I'm doing the Garrosh arcantia quest and I get why Garrosh is missing here but where's Jorin lol?
And I finished it and he didn't show up at all, is this meant to imply that he officially moved to Azeroth or is this just a random detail I'm looking too much into?
A digital illustration of Naraxa, a half-orc OC from World of Warcraft. She's conjuring some sort of shadowy magic, staring at it in a wary, but interested fashion.
Also with haranir proxies, here's Naraxa! She's a half-orc warlock acolyte, so far working to teach herself how to handle shadow, fel, and anything else found in an ominous grimoire.

Would infinitely prefer this than whatever they have cooking for her, cuz tbh, I just can't see her as a main or even secondary antagonist feature for an expansion. Her plot feels very tertiary and barely related to most of the cast aside from Danath. An "Evil racist" is only so interesting.
Maaan, wait till WoW devolves into Nick Jr. aged stories(nothing wrong w/ Nick Jr. btw, p solid kids program imo) where we get to hang out with Anduin in his clubhouse w/ Goodie Go'el, Baby Baine, and Tiny Tyrande as they go on random adventures. ๐
I'll have some more succinct thoughts later, but like, damn. This story.... ๐
Cuz either I'm getting too old or the games' narrative direction has become so fundamentally incompatible with its own concept they established 20 years ago and my investment in this franchise has been terribly wasted just because I like big, tusked, green and blue dudes who are nice sometimes.
Tbh, I don't even know what else I CAN add to the discussion that most haven't either put better than I could or collect their thoughts more rationally than myself, other than that I'm deeply upset and if It weren't for the upcoming Amani patch, this is where I'd finally hop off the train.
Like it's impressive that we've somehow nosedived right back into some Shadowlands-quality writing in, like, 3 questlines.
I'm actually at a loss for words, I cannot believe how bad this max-level story was. I had to force myself to keep going.
I knew this was gunna be a trainwreck the moment they announced Arator as the main character, but I did not think it was gunna be THIS bad.
It really should have been her instead of Arator I swear..
Fr, they legit could not let us leave BfA with one unambiguously good thing that wasn't tainted by the overall narrative. Like, they really had to sever an arm and cave in their shins, before letting us have the Zandalari.
Oh ofc! I'm with you there 100% on BoD. I feel like any relative enjoyment I had in BfA died the minute they killed off Rastakhan, because wtfdym you introduce another cool troll guy the expansion after you killed Vol'jin, and kill him AND his cool Dinosaur loa?!
I mean, BfA DID at least have your own seperate faction experiences and that alone cannot be understated. Specially w/ how things are now.
After the events of WoD allowing her to uncover clues to its wherabouts in the main timeline, during the 3rd legion invasion Ezanah returned to Outland to retrieve the weapon using it in the fight against the Legion.
Ezanah wields Zal'karosh, the Stormrender Greataxe. Once an ordinary battleaxe, her grandfather battled and defeated the Storm fury, Karrosh, and in doing so, the fury's essence was imbued within the weapon becoming a conduit its power.

"No, no, guys, there's actually a point to the afterlife sucking, just stay tuned!"
"Sylvanas's character assassination arc was worth it, we promise, it was all leading up to titan stuff!"

Summary of my thoughts re: MSQ and it's undermining of the Player Chosen Fantasy that serves as the limits to their Magic Circle in the Gameworld
I am 27, I also want to be a writer. The best thing you can is have confidence, you'll get there at your own pace and you'll feel great about it when you do. ๐
He's got a bench to warm for when Sylvanas returns!
