The American people were lied to about Vietnam, with tragic consequences.
The American people were lied to about Iraq, with tragic consequences.
The American people are being lied to again today. We cannot allow history to repeat itself.

Take note.
IMLS provides essential federal funding to expand access to libraries, strengthen workforce development, and promote lifelong learning across the nation.
Trump's proposed budget eliminates this funding.

Buried in the House’s budget reconciliation bill — now pending in the Senate — is a legislative provision that takes aim at the federal judiciary. Congress should remove it.

Downtown LA tonight: No riots, but some will see this and still say, “That’s what I voted for” instead of “Love thy neighbor.”
This is dangerous and disgraceful.
Let’s be clear: This isn’t about “conflicts of interest.” It’s about consolidating power, pushing conspiracy theories, and gutting our ability to respond to public health threats.

Why are they shooting rubber bullets at and silencing journalists? We still have a First Amendment.

What does India May want to accomplish in the Iowa House? May said she first got involved in Iowa politics earlier this year when she attended a town hall held by the state legislators in her area, including Thomson. In part, May said she went to oppose a bill that would deny state funding to libraries that are members of the American Library Association and Iowa Library Association, and another that would remove an exemption in Iowa's obscenity law that shields libraries and educational institutions. Neither bill ultimately passed. "I’m a nurse and a librarian, and I went to my first town hall this year to advocate for libraries and realized that there were a lot more pieces of legislation that were harmful on the Iowa level that I didn’t even hear about until it was too late," she said.
The woman who shouted "people will die" at Joni Ernst, India May, is a nurse and a librarian who first got involved in politics by going to a town hall about bills aiming to defund libraries.
Now she's running for state house.

Rep Flood (R-NE) voted for a bill that guts the federal court's authority to enforce contempt orders.
When a voter confronted him, he claimed: “I didn’t know that was on the bill.”
Since when do lawyers sign without reading docs first?
If that’s true, he’s incompetent.
If it’s not, he’s lying.
