ESPN is a complete disaster. Half the matches aren't anywhere in the TV app. One was only in Spanish. We try to access on the phone and even after signing in, it runs us around in circles back to the beginning. I've totally had it with their incompetence.

I read the Clifton case cited by Blanche. To avoid state prosecution, the federal agent needs to be operating within the scope of authority and the actions are necessary and proper. So no blanket immunity for wanton bloodshed. But states also need to have an appropriate set of facts to prosecute.
Of course it would be very circumstance dependent whether state law conflicted with federal. But for example, what would be a federal defense to the unprovoked attack on the priest outside the ICE facility by a rooftop sniper shooting pepper balls? Seems like assault and battery under any law.🤷
Lawyer here. There could be state charges if it doesn't conflict with federal law. For example, federal agents could not commit any and all types of state crimes with total impunity. Remember Trump was charged in Georgia with state election law crimes.
I was just debating trolls over on X on this question. If the federal agents are acting outside the scope of their authority, I see no reason why they couldn't be criminally prosecuted under state law. For example, the unprovoked attack on a clergyman with a pepperball shot to the head.
We're in big trouble then because it was the same message last November and look what happened. We're talking Orwell's proles here.

This administration lies like the rest of us breath, so it's impossible to believe anything they say or show. Was there really a submersible associated with this attack or was the video unrelated or fabricated? It doesn't add up to just release the survivors after all of their big talk.

I agree with you about not needing any more conservative white men. We already have a surplus. Problem is that we are so far under water with the power structure in this country and seemingly still sinking, I have trouble seeing a way out without people defecting from MAGA in big numbers.

I would still take Garland over any Trump pick for SCOTUS. Garland was just not cut out for the AG job. Someone with a more aggressive prosecutorial mindset was needed, not someone whose main goal was to try to appear impartial to GOP/MAGA. They scream bias anyway.
