Yeah resolution fine… was more whether any reports of MacMinis killing things being powered by it o’er USB-C / TB. As soon as I plugged this one there was a distinct “it just died” smell. (Prev used fine on Pi3, Pi4, Trashcan MacPro and i7 MBPro, but o’er USB2/3 type A sockets)

NB: not bothered about touch in the slightest…

Hmmm. Just realised - I am now entirely ARM architecture for all my music kit. MPC Live2 / Pi4 / M4 MacMini / Cortex M4 / Cortex M7.

Aside: I’m also quietly surprised that the *Pi4* can run Cardinal and Plateau at buff: 64 now that I’ve swapped the CreamyWalls box over from a Pi3 that could only handle buff: 256 (via a self-powered TC Go Twin)

Finally got me an M4 MacMini, and sweet jesus the power…! VCV patches that had i7 MB Pro & Xeon trash can pinned at full load with fans squealing prance along on the M4 at ~20-30%.

Also, buffer size dropped from 256 to 32 with not so much as a blip.

These things are RIDICULOUS.

Yonder cheap widescreen 12.6” touchscreens are kinda gorgeously proportioned for #VCVRack strips. So much so I had to get handy with the MDF again to make a bridge… #synthsky
