Thanks, I googled him. The punchline of his "joke" was "punch him in the balls". Of course it is inciting violence. If you make this kind of joke in New York publicly, you can be arrested too. Just try to joke without calling to hurt other people.

And yet, some people on the left support it, despite Russian capitalism. Why - you need to ask them (I think they're misguided). And why you are not able to maintain a civil conversation?

As usual, the court decides what's acceptable and what is not. Free speech absolutism is impossible - you can't tolerate death threats. Nobody was arrested for merely posting a joke unless this "joke" was something like "kill them all". Same rules in civilized parts of USA.

The definition is: "a person on the left supporting Russia (and before 1991: Soviet Union)". They support Russia for different reasons than far right.

And possibly toxic and cancerogenic, you wouldn't want to inhale that black smoke

If you don't align with Russia, they should not be calling you a tankie, that's the key defining element

Yes, that's what I wrote. But it's not enough to "end the war" (and you were asking "why it didn't"). It takes quite some time to build a new mine - and this project might end up with nothing, anyway.

Yes, I read about some projects in preparation, like I said. But before they actually start shipping stuff, a lot of water will flow through Dnipro.

Any NEW military aid. Since Trump cancelled all aid, it can't be something "you provided", but it can be something you will be providing in the future. All that sounds like vaporware, to be honest.

Not exactly. The deal says US will get 50% profits from selling these resources. As long as they are not excavated yet, they are 100% owned by Ukraine. You need to build a new mine and within decade or so, see first profits. I believe two are in preparation.

I'm your long lost brother! I mean, that's what I'm always saying. I don't believe in Russian nukes. Yes, maybe they have some warheads that work, but since they don't know which one is it - they will not even try.

I will add one detail to your excellent presentation: they were celebrating each round of negotiations with a toast, so they were hammered when it come to the actual signing. Nobody could find a pen, so they hat to borrow one from the press staff.

From what you wrote I'm not sure you are compatible with half of US. I don't think you harassing trans people is welcome in New York City.

In this case, "disagreement with trans policies" is an euphemism for "actively harrassing trans people". Just let them be. Also, have your "anti immigrant opinions" but don't call for pogroms. Quote Bible, but not for hateful purposes - and don't go to abortion clinic if you don't need abortion.

Founding Act The North Atlantic Treaty Organization and its member States, on the one hand, and the Russian Federation, on the other hand, hereinafter referred to as NATO and Russia, based on an enduring political...

Great! That's actually why I started this account, to explain stuff like that. This is the raw text of the 1997 agreement: www.nato.int/en/about-us/...

Then why you accept similar myth making of Ireland - or Finland, Belgium, Estonia, Slovakia, Croatia. They are also "modern creation" in this sense.

Russia signed agreement in 1997 saying Russia accepts this "expansion". You were wrong when you wrote "it was by the USA". It was by Lithuania, Poland, Hungary (etc.).

Compared to ours - of course they are.

So southern identity is not exactly "modern" invention, until you count Mason & Dixon as "modern"

Death or rape threats should not be protected as free speech (and that's all we are limiting). Freedom of religion is unlimited (we need more freedom FROM religion). Some of our countries have closed immigration. And surely we need to make our military stronger (we are working on it).

My brief explanation why America has interest there: you need allies, especially in your upcoming conflict with China. Russia will take China's side, so you don't want Russia to grow stronger by conquering Ukraine. You need Europe, but you're doing great job alienating us at the moment.

I'm with you, keine Freude wie Schadenfreude. It was in 2020 and it seems his even more crazy daughter Mikhaila dragged him into this. Google as much as you can about it, it's insanely entertaining.

This research is so secret It was never published? In such case I will have to stick to the public data saying it's bullmanure. Recently some people in America say it is in your interest to attack Denmark - they are the least corrupt country in the world. Don't think corruption matters here.

You making an interesting usage of the word "convenient" (if misspelled). Convenient to whom? To Ukrainians? You think they say "it's so convenient we got invaded"?

Ukrainians do not surrender Let us understand who they are and why are they so much different from the Russians

If you are really interested in complex Ukrainian history, maybe you care to read my longer explanation on substack? eastsplaining.substack.com/p/ukrainians...

Not true. Where you get such data? In 2022, Ukraine is 118/180 (and improving). Not good, but far cry from "top 5". Or from Russia (137/180 and worsening).

13 hours ago 0 0 1 0

Me and you don't live in the same country, so of course we are different "we". In my country, many people volunteered and went there anyway.

Then you really don't know much about it. Ukrainian "distinct identity" consists of two elements: (1) it's Eastern Slavic ethnically, but pro-Western politically; (2) Cossack ethos. Both elements can be traced to 13th century, if not earlier. They are fully merged in 17th century.

There was a short living first Ukrainian republic, 1917-1921. Before that, Cossack Hetmanate was de facto independent for more than a century.

If it's all voluntary, then what's the problem
