I just saw this, and while I’m sad it was last minute, I am happy to support. It’s been a tough time for indie folks and crowdfunding it feels like, but we should be proud about every step we take to make something new in this world.

I made this the other night while procrastinating, mainly because I thought all the posts about the blackout were boring. It feels like there is momentum bringing people together!
The entire building’s floor is these plates. If you never felt ghosts of emotion before, this place forces you to confront their grief, rage, and hope with every step. Again. Wow.
The first shot is of one of the metal plates of melted down guns, hammered into shape by victims of sexual violence by the many armed combatants over the years. Chilling use of art in memory and fragments. Incredible and humbling.
My DIY writing retreat in Colombia has been incredible, but the most impactful and important moment has been my visit to Fragmentos “counter-monument” and art installation in Bogotá of the decades-long national conflict, only resolved in a peace agreement in (where else) Havana, Cuba in 2016.

I appreciate both my therapist and nutritionist for teasing out this side of my own shame. As well as fellow writers who reflect this back to me in a way I can grease. In this day of my solar return, I’m exploring hunger in my writing in, hopefully, a cathartic way.
Hunger encompasses so much, not just food, especially as someone living with ADHD. Anything to fill this dopamine deprivation, right? Thankfully, lately, I’ve had the resources to really focus on and understand what is happening to me.
Something I’ve change recently about how i “consume”, is listening to when I am really “full”. Whether it is food, reading, shopping, social media, drinks, company or otherwise. One of the themes I’m exploring in my writing recently is about hunger, which is one of my personal weaknesses.
