I watched the Super Mario Galaxy Movie a couple days ago, so here's my full thoughts! The whole thing is a complete love letter to Miyamoto more than anything else, and it isn't perfect, but it really doesn't need to be.

Saw the new Mario Galaxy movie. Got a lot of thoughts but gut reaction is that movie good. Gonna try and have a full review out by tomorrow!

New video out now: Resident Evil Requiem is ALMOST Perfect to complete! RE9 is super compelling on a first playthrough, but it only gets better when going for 100%. It's one of the most well thought-out games Capcom has ever made.

Sneak peek of the RE9 Completionist episode coming next Monday

That is such a monumental project that I can't even wrap my head around it yet! I'm going to wait until the third part of the Remake trilogy releases before I go anywhere near covering the original again, but it'll happen, no doubt about it.

Tears of the Kingdom and Rebirth are super close to being done! Elden Ring is also pretty close, but I think I'm missing just a few things on it. I'll do Zelda sometime this year, and then Rebirth next year

Everyone else playing RE: Requiem while I grind out the unfun postgame of Sons of Sparta

I'm not sure what's going on, but the Pit of Agonies gamemode in Sons of Sparta crashes consistently after becoming really laggy. I already got the platinum, so this is the only thing left to complete. Has anyone else played this enough to know if it's actually completable?

Phil might represent the last of the "Iwata" generation of gaming executives, where they actually gave a damn about the companies they ran. With his departure, we're seeing the very last of a brilliant but imperfect generation of leaders in gaming. Without them, the future looks like Windows Copilot

Less competition is bad for everyone. We only got a better PS3 and an incredible PS4 because Microsoft put so much pressure on Sony. Game Pass forced all large publishers to re-evaluate the value of the subscriptions that all console gamers take for granted. We are all worse off without Xbox.

There have been a number of canaries in the coal mine of Xbox over the past several years, but this might just be the biggest warning. Microsoft has always wanted to undercut what made Xbox special and different, and Phil was always central to this effort.

Finished up Sons of Sparta, expect a Completionist episode on it soon. Has anyone else made their way through it yet? Curious of what everyone thinks of this one.
