BookCon in NYC this weekend!

Like yes I know men, even straight men, read. But it takes only a brief look at the BookCon lineup to know this show is primarily for the girls, gays, and theys. Wtf is this poster. Where is HER book? Is she turning the pages for him? Guhhhhhh.

Bestie and I are going to BookCon in NYC this month. I’ve been (not) patiently waiting for them to share the official posters bc I wanted to get one for my author autographs since I read on a Kindle. Finally, 2 weeks out and they release it. And I am livid. WHY IS A MAN THERE?!?! A straight man!

Sure there’s no whole automatic sleep thing but you could slide out if you wanted to stand for a bit, bathroom, etc. But rolling in to my own cube with no one able to recline their seat directly in my face? Priceless.

I’m rewatching The Fifth Element for the umpteenth time and had a thought after my flights to and from Munich last week. Since airlines seem hell-bent on maximizing profits by cramming economy passengers as close together as possible anyways, could I suggest this stacked cube model?

Eh I wouldn’t say it was a waste. It was a very well done documentary and while I knew about the toxic masculinity/rapid misogyny part of the manosphere I didn’t know how clear the grifting was and I appreciated the on camera proof of their hypocrisy. Plus it wasn’t a super long documentary.
