After a curious draft-day trade, Valkyries fans deserved a better explanation Golden State GM Ohemaa Nyanin initially declined to discuss the team’s rationale for sending Flau’jae Johnson to Seattle.

The Valkyries and WNBA have all the momentum in the world. Self-inflicted wounds are the only thing that can stop that.

The Warriors' penultimate regular season performance didn't exactly put fear into their possible play-in opponent(s).

With Steph Curry next to Kristaps Porzingis, the Warriors have another gear to hit The rest of the regular season should be about seeing how Curry and Golden State’s trade deadline acquisition can complement each other.

The Warriors are stuck in 10th. Can’t move up or down. Their last few games before the play-in should be used to experiment — especially with actions involving Steph Curry and Kristaps Porzingis, who played together for the first time ever last night.

Do-or-die summer — the Warriors can and should go after Kawhi or LeBron Next season — possibly the last one Stephen Curry will begin as a consensus top-10 player — has to be precious to the Warriors.

Sitting at 11 or 12 (or moving up to 1-4) in this very good draft is looking increasingly valuable to the Warriors right now. They need an influx of young talent.

Which is why they have to look at other ways to upgrade WITHOUT giving up the 1st.

This was fair-handed when much of the Podz discourse is not. In 20+ games without Steph, and Podz facing the defenders Steph gets, he’s struggling. His skills and ceiling are on display, and he’s wearing down now after playing heavy minutes. Podz hasn’t missed a game all season.

The recalibration of Brandin Podziemski’s great expectations With Stephen Curry sidelined, the former 19th overall pick has taken on a lead role with the Warriors. It hasn’t been easy.

Steve Kerr had a lot to say about Brandin Podziemski over the weekend. He was spot-on.

Podziemski’s opportunity largely isn’t going as he’d hoped. It may be helpful to look at him as the player he already is, not the one he strives to become one day.

Jonathan Kuminga doesn’t need to be polarizing anymore Kuminga’s revenge game was a dud, and it’s time to leave the divisive discourse in the past.

But both sides have moved on.

It isn’t always pretty, but the young Warriors are learning as they’re losing Golden State’s inexperienced players have been “thrown into the fire” with Steph Curry and Jimmy Butler sidelined for more than a month.

They need to grow up, one way or another. Growing pains are inevitable. But we’re seeing it, loss by loss.
