For 5 years I've been running Blepcon Music Night. Last Night we had our 5th anniversary. It was a massive mix streamed on two platforms. Thank you to everyone who came out! I am honored that I've been able to run it this long. And I hope to continue as long as people are interested.

While 2025 was a bad year for the world, it was actually a good year for me personally. I met a lot of great new friends, so many I can't credit them all here. They know who they are and they really made the year shine. That's my main takeaway.

With it being New Years Eve, and also my birthday, I always like to do a short recap of the year I just had.

Can't wait for Youtube to roll out their stupid age verification system in 2 weeks and see it flag half of the sites userbase as under 18.
We've all seen how braindead inaccurate the Made For Kids flags are, this will be the EXACT same. (sigh)

Our journey through the land of dreams felt real to many of us but it was only that... a dream. A dream many of us enjoyed and did not want to wake up from, myself included. But as the morning sun rises, so too do we, albeit reluctantly. And begin the wait to see what the next Furality will bring.

I find it interesting how easily I've been sleeping (literally and figuratively) on the hot new Switch 2 launch. IMO the line up is weak and does not justify the price. And I say that as a lifelong Nintendo fan. Not worth it right now, and not a lot of hype from buyers either.

So I was at FWA over the weekend. My first FWA and First furry con ever! It was A LOT of fun, tons of new experiences and friends. I had a fantastic time. I also took a bunch of photos, some of which I intend to post here very soon.

I always forget to post here but I guess I can show off some cool art I got recently. I realized I had no art of my fursona angry so I asked a friend, namely @qweakster.bsky.social if they wanted to draw something and now I have this.

I am more nervous about the year ahead for a few reasons. Some rational, some irrational. I hope everything will be okay in the end, but you never know. I can say it will likely be more turbulent than 2024.

It's New Year's Eve and one thing I always do is try to sum up the year in a couple posts.

2024 was a roller coaster but, personally, I think it was more of a good than bad year.

A lot of positive stuff happened, too much to recount here. But overall I am pretty happy with how the year went.

I know I don't really post here often, I've been busy.

I am not dead, things are happening. I just have a (maybe bad?) habit of keeping to myself a lot of the time.

But I still wanted to say Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to anyone who happens to read this!

One thing I used to love doing was posting photos of convention concerts I went to. Here are some neat ones from Magfest 2024 way back in January.

I am still going to use Bluesky because I still believe it to be a better alternative... for now. But the devolution will continue and I am scared it will get more toxic. I should just accept that nowhere is safe.

What a difference two and a half weeks makes. That's when I warned that Bluesky could basically turn into the new twitter and it already feels like we're at that point. My discover feed used to be all positivity and good vibes, now it's just political rage bait... like on Twitter. *sigh*

Happy Thanksgiving!

On this day it's good to remember what we are thankful for. There are a lot of things that are important to me, creativity, music, even Bluesky currently. But I think I am most thankful for the friends I have. If not for them I would be insane. So to all my friends, thank you.

Sorry for not posting more often. I've grown accustomed to being more of a silent observer rather than a regular poster over the years. But I never posted that much to begin with. I am here and trying to use the site more though.

It resembles Twitter so much that I think it's an asset and liability. You get the familiarity of Twitter without all the political and toxic baggage. I love that. But after the normies find this site and treat is as new Twitter, we'll be back at square one. I hope I am wrong... but I don't know.

I like Bluesky a lot. I've been silently observing for the past few days and this site is really nice. Seemingly level headed people, no ads whatsoever. Friendly and passionate communities. But I wonder how long all that will last. I am already seeing Bluesky accounts made by brands.

I finally gave up and made an account here because the birdsite has become far too toxic with a trajectory to get even worse. SO HI!
