I hope for Latin American and Caribbean solidarity in a time such as this, I hope Europe will stop folding for American dominance and stand for laws that benefit ourselves too, I hope to see Maduro released, I hope for the humiliation of the unleashed imperial ambitions of the Trump administration.
This is a time when the European nations should finally reconsider loyalties in a time when France, USA, and Russia are all attempting to control smaller nations through breaking international rules. Only China displays a basic level of respect*.
I applaud that CELAC are seemingly gathering in solidarity in this time when each their sovereignty is questioned and threatened by the United Cartels of America. It does not matter one bit what anyone thinks of Maduro, there can be no peace if mayor powers can just kidnap state leaders.

we truly need to reject right wing framing, and instead focus on policies that will improve people's day-to-day lives.

PS (socialists) recovered from legislative election but lost ground compared to last local election
it can be seen as reassuring as the results look less bleak than the legislative, but perhaps that was due to chaos and snap election
i kinda enjoy following elections and as i have a friend there, i've been trying to catch the general tendencies of the portuguese local election
