She was really fun to draw and I was able to learn some new things through the process, so thank you!

Thank you! I made a special effort to do the shading separately from the colour. Also, I restricted my values to a discrete list before smoothing them out. It worked out better than I expected.
A quickly-sketched drawing of a man with an afro making a thumbs-up with his right hand. He's wearing a green polo shirt, a dark grey belt and blue (slightly violet) jeans. The background is blurred image of Toronto City Hall.
Congratulations on 700! Unfortunately, I don't really have any O.C.s right now. The best I can do is a fictionalized version of myself that always gets into bad situations. I only have a quickly-sketched version, but I added some flat colour and a background to post here.
I think I'm late, but I finished it! This is Solara, a character by @thecrispsun.bsky.social
Drawn with Krita 5.3.1.

Fifteen-minute sketch. Will draw more later.
Thank you for this. My work as a programmer has been particularly rough for the last couple of months, but you just reminded me that it could be sooooo much worse.
After being too busy to draw for several weeks, I drew this while half-asleep. It's just nice to draw *something*
She's a zombie-ish girl.

Silly-looking striped worm drawn in pencil.
Sketched a bit on my commute. Fun, but a bit frustrating with the train's swaying.

Rough pencil sketch of an unsettling woman in a dress leaning forward, holding a sad Luma (a star-like creature from the Nintendo Wii game Super Mario Galaxy)
Working on something silly. Not an assignment. Just for fun.

I really wish that you were wrong. You're not, but I wish you were.
Since becoming a programmer, "intermittent" has become the scariest word in my vocabulary.
Former bartender here. It's fine, but you can't be timid about it. Own that order!
Digital drawing of a woman posing with a wand with purple-pink light shining on her from the left.
Badly-drawn digital picture of a woman posing with a red wand.
Done! I finished my colour figure digital painting assignment. It actually took two tries. My first version (which I have also included here) was so disappointing that I almost gave up. Instead, I tried again, adding my own lighting.
I'm glad I did.

This is both awesome and horrible at the same time.
I am 100% in favour of this policy.
This is a Buddhabrot ( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buddhab... ) which I generated with a Java program I wrote way back in March 2022. The red channel is 10000 iterations, the green channel is 1000 iterations and the blue channel is 100 iterations.

I hope my perspective drawing reaches this level soon. This is just great.
Next assignment! This time my reference is Rowena from Adorkastock. I'll be trying to digitally paint her in colour. I started with a gesture drawing on paper, which I photographed and used as a guide. It's going well so far.

I like this a lot.
My digital version of Urbosa is finally done! I'm sure that I could refine it more, but I'm good with this. It's just for an assignment on adjustment layers anyway.
Drawn with Krita 5.9.2 and an XP-Pen tablet.

Trying something traditional. This is H2 pencil and I'll be shading with charcoal for the first time.

It was a while ago, so I don't remember clearly. I do remember feeling it getting away from me and not being able to save it.
Taking a break certainly helped.
Here are two more assignments from the same course. The first one is about general use of layers and the second one is about the use of layers to change the other drawing.
Both were pretty tough.

Digital shading assignment! The face is a little weird, but I'm happy with the overall result. Of course, it could be better, but that's why I'm studying.
Very cool.
Hand practice doesn't always go well. I'll be trying again soon.

Still practicing hands. I seem to be stretching this vertically for some reason. I'll have to keep aware of this tendency.
