Life or Death Life or Death Winter is here in Loveland, CO, and despite having plenty of time to plan, the City of Loveland has refused to create solutions to keep our unhoused from dying in winter conditions. They've known about the problem. There's been plenty of pressure to fix it, and now we find ourselves scrambling every day to try to find accommodations that the City is derelict in providing. Letter to Loveland City Leadership Letter to Loveland City Leadership Dear Loveland City Leadership (except Tim Doran because I couldn't find an email for him. Transparency, amirite?), I filmed the attached video while hanging out at Camp Hope overnight this week, while I was waiting for the police to return to enforce the encampment ban. Whether it's encampment ban tickets, or trespassing tickets, or obstruction tickets, these are all attempts on the part of the city to eradicate our homeless population. I've been watching your ticketing cycles, which trap our most vulnerable in a web from which they cannot escape.

I understand that Alison doesn't control the police, nor does she make decisions for the City Manager, but she knows the bidding she does and she still goes in to do it. If you have to do evil at work, you should quit.

CAMP HOPE CRISIS – All Hands On Deck CAMP HOPE CRISIS - All Hands On Deck The City of Loveland and the Loveland Police Department are getting very creative in their efforts to eradicate the unhoused in our community. They are targeting those downtown at all times of day, making up law while ignoring actual statutes, to harass and detain our most vulnerable. They are looking for any way they can target this population for writing tickets, and to steal their property. On at least two occasions an AMBIPAR truck contracted by the City of Loveland has stolen property from those with so little, targeting anything unattended while people try to take showers, use the rest room, or find food.

We have an immediate need for teams of advocates in the field to document and communicate what is happening.
