After two days of constructive negotiations at #FCTCCOP11, parties agree on a draft decision on the Implementation of
@whofctc.bsky.social Art.18 on Protection of environment & health initially proposed by #Brazil, #Mexico & #Panama. The decision will be proposed in plenary tomorrow.

On the penultimate day of the negotiations, the Committee is expected to conclude deliberations on a draft decision on Item 4.3, "Protection of the #environment and the health of persons (Article 18 of the @whofctc.bsky.social).

One of the key items for discussion at today’s #FCTCCOP11 is agenda point 4.5, on the implementation of measures to prevent and reduce tobacco consumption, nicotine addiction and exposure to tobacco smoke in light of the tobacco industry’s narrative on “harm reduction”.
