Yet another banger: Van's attempts to run away from the trauma of his first real defeat, Wendy standing her ground and him opening up to her about his past with Elena, Wo's pathetic clinging to a lost past he can't abandon for the future, and Van learning to truly ride Dann. #GunXSword 16

Wendy and Carmen should have been introduced with Armor too, then maybe Van would remember their names just like Pricilla. She also gets a G Gundam like control system, but who was the dude?

Van (soon to be "of the Dawn") and Dann of Thursday are finally challenged by a real fight with another Original 7 Armor, and "It was magnificent." Truly.

Along that, all the different factions with their conflicting dreams clash against the Claw that's finally been revealed. #GunXSword 13

lol Most obvious reveal possible as soon as he started talking. And now we know how he's gathered so many comrades.

We also get the full history of Endless Illusion in a conversation between former friends now on opposite sides. A bit forced but the dramatic irony is so good. #GunXSword 12

Every member of Claw's group acts with resolve towards "the future" after unearthing another of the Original 7 armors, this one named for Sunday. With plans to "resurrect" it and the aforementioned somber credits it's certain we're headed for tragedy at the halfway point. #GunXSword 11

Fantastic scene composition throughout that entire episode, all the way up to the somber end credits music.

Van and gang finally catch up to Claw/Comrade's group, and Big Brother Michael has aligned himself with our villain and crushes Wendy's resolve after her long search for him. #GunXSword 11

The next episode said Kaiji was supposed to be the coolest guy, but he wasn't nearly as cool as that knife fishing move from Van.

The dynamic between Van, Carmen, Wendy and even Joshua is great but I loved the conversation between Carmen and Hayateh in the secret flower garden (👭?). Did we see her use the yo-yo before? All timer weapon.

Van: befuddled that he's collected a 2nd victim of the Claw who's decided to follow him around.

I had guessed the "twist" but the reveal about the waitress sure says a lot about Ray. #GunXSword 8

Absolutely fantastic episode on the pursuit for revenge and an alternative path, even if it wasn't coming from a place of honesty. #GunXSword 7

It's not a Goro Taniguchi show until an over the top love themed character shows up but still has a moving story. Unfortunately I don't think the payoff was quite strong enough by the end.

Also was the girl supposed to be significantly older because that wasn't obvious in animation. #GunXSword

Watching #gunxsword for the first time, so here's a quick doodle of Wendy!

A comically cruel conclusion to what should normally be a pretty standard "learn to get along" story and a Pacific Rim ass mecha.

Since I don't know any better, I do wonder if Van and Ray's stories might be too symmetrical to be mere coincidence. #GunXSword

Not much of a mech fight in that episode, but we see just how resourceful Wendy can be, meet a rival for our hero, and most importantly see more of the turtle necklace who gets stuck on its back. #GunXSword
