A front view of light-wash denim jeans lying flat on a tan carpet. The jeans feature several decorative "visible mending" patches: a large rectangular navy patch with tool patterns on the right thigh, and four smaller, irregular cream-colored patches on the left leg and right shin featuring gardening-themed illustrations like trowels and sprouts.
The interior view of the same light-wash jeans, turned partially inside out to show the repair work. The white pocket bags are visible at the top, and various stitching patterns and the underside of the patches are shown throughout the legs, illustrating the structural reinforcement of the mending.
A macro close-up of a vertical tear in light-blue denim fabric. The rip is being repaired with "sashiko" style mending, using horizontal white thread stitches to bridge the gap and stabilize the frayed edges.
Finished my first big #handsewing #mending project. I mended a hole, reinforced some weak spots with applique, and shortened the hem. The original hem was destroyed in the back.
