Knox County Remains Strongly Democratic as 2026 Elections Approach Republicans have most support in Friendship, Warren, and Union.

Knox County has voted in Democrats to the state Senate every election since 2012. The last Republican elected to the state Senate in Knox County was Christopher Rector of Thomaston in 2010.

Rockland has supported Democrats for the Maine House every election since 2004.

Commission member Sam Ladley said no reasonable person would agree to a 30-year fixed agreement. He noted the responsibility for maintaining the new dock would be the city.
