Scattered throughout the arms are bright, tiny blue knots indicating active star-forming regions. The galaxy is set against a vast, dark black background populated by numerous sharp, pin-point stars of varying brightness and color, ranging from cool white to warm orange. In the lower-left corner, there is a faint, hazy glow, likely reflecting light from a bright star just outside the frame.
NGC 4236 is a barred spiral galaxy in the constellation Draco, located approximately 11 million light-years away. This image was captured on December 18, 2025.
