(사진=하퍼스 바자 코리아) 마크가 함께한 화보는 폴로 랄프 로렌 2026 스프링 컬렉션을 바탕으로 한 ‘Blue Blues’ 콘셉트로 꾸려졌다. 푸른빛이 감도는 물결과 새하얀 요트를 배경으로 한 촬영에서 그는 블루 컬러 의상들을 입고 청량한 무드를 만들어냈다. 그는 랄프 로렌 앰배서더로 활동해온 만큼 이번 촬영에서도 다양한 룩을 소화했다. 패치워크 카디건, 럭비 셔츠, 재킷과 셔츠 등 여러 아이템을 자연스럽게 연출해 현장 스태프들의 감탄을 자아냈다는 이야기도 전해졌다. 화보 촬영 이후에는 최근 활동과 맞물린 인터뷰가 이어졌다. 특히 NCT DREAM(엔시티 드림)의 네 번째 월드투어 피날레 공연을 앞두고 있는 시점에서, 무대를 준비하는 마음가짐을 직접 설명했다. 마크는 투어를 통해 팬들과 쌓아온 기억에 대해 “매 투어마다 팬들과 쌓은 추억들이 한 권의 책처럼 머릿속에 기록이 남죠. 항상 새로운 콘서트를 준비하듯 설레는 감정을 느껴요.”라고 말했다. 공연을 준비할 때마다 느끼는 설렘과, 투어에서 만들어진 장면들이 하나의 이야기처럼 떠오른다는 점을 강조했다. 지난해 첫 솔로 앨범 ‘The Firstfruit’ 활동을 마친 이후의 변화도 언급했다. 그는 “제 솔직한 부분들을 모두 꺼내서 보여주니, 좀 더 자유로워진 기분이 들어요. 계속해도 되겠구나, 확신을 얻게 됐죠. 요즘엔 더 파고들고 있는 것 같아요. 음악인 마크로서의 다음을.”이라고 말하며, 솔로 작업을 계기로 자신을 드러내는 방식에 대한 확신을 얻었다고 털어놨다. 음악과 삶에서 지키고 싶은 기준에 대한 질문에는 정직함을 꼽았다. 마크는 “삶에 있어서도, 음악에 있어서도 저는 정직함을 가지며 살고 싶어요. 날마다, 시간마다 달라지는 게 사람 마음일 수 있지만, 갈팡질팡하더라도 스스로에게 진실하고 싶어요. 그때마다 변할 수 있는 나 자신을 유연하게 받아들이면서요.”라고 답하며, 변화하는 마음을 인정하면서도 스스로에게 솔직하고자 하는 태도를 드러냈다. 이처럼 NCT 마크의 최근 활동과 생각은 패션과 음악 두 영역이 만나는 지점에서 함께 드러났다. 커버와 화보, 인터뷰에 담긴 그의 모습은 현재 음악 활동의 연장선에서 읽힌다.
