UK-drilled oil is sold on the international market, typically denominated in dollars, as private companies operate the fields and sell to the highest bidder, with roughly 80% exported. The UK does not force companies to sell domestically, nor does it own the oil, making domestic production subject to global prices.

Plus we don't force companies to sell it to us nor, own the oil. Unless we nationalise it we only have one choice!

We need more renewable sources! Yes, it costs to setup but after a few years its all cheap clean energy.
