A beige 1936 Nash LaFayette. LaFayette, yes named for *that* Lafayette, was a luxury carmaker founded in 1920 that quickly ended up in the Nash fold by '21, and was scuttled by 1924.
A beige 1936 Nash LaFayette. The brand resurfaced in 1934 to be sold as lower-priced cars featuring some higher-end Nash features. In truth, a bit of a slap in the face to the car's original aspirations.
A beige 1936 Nash LaFayette. Nash LaFayettes were downsized in subsequent years, until just one model, called the Nash LaFayette remained. It was sold as the cheapest Nash, a far cry from it's luxury origins. It was finally phased out entirely after 1941.
These are closeups of a car called a LaFayette, built by Nash and named for some French guy who probably wasn't important. What did the rest look like? I don't remember, and I didn't get any full pictures.

The rare and extraordinary Mercedes-Benz 300SL "Gullwing." I've seen it parked and on the road before, but got the chance to see it up close once at a show. These really do give the E-Type a run for it's money.
