Free Sustainability Training The Department for Social Responsibility and Sustainability has had over 11,000 staff and students participate in the training it offers with a 99% recommendation rate. The training courses teach people about sustainability, climate change, biodiversity and so much more. They help you make a difference and enhance your professional development. We are delighted to now offer our training to alumni. What is Carbon Literacy Training? Carbon Literacy is an awareness of the carbon costs and impacts of everyday activities, and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community and organisational basis. Learn about the Carbon Literacy Project The training covers: the causes of the climate crisis the unequal impacts of climate change across the world societal changes needed to reach net-zero carbon individual and group actions for reducing carbon emissions effective communication strategies You will get: a basic understanding of the climate crisis effective ways to reduce emissions communication skills for influencing others the chance to receive industry-recognised certification Requirements You do not need any prior knowledge - just come along with a desire to learn and make a difference! You'll need access to a computer or smart device for the online module and completing the evidence form. Before registering for the interactive workshop please ensure you have the availability to attend, because spaces are limited.
