Tape Loops, Prophet 10 and Nordic Winter: Juha Mäki-Patola’s New Album Tape Loops, Prophet 10 and Nordic Winter: Juha Mäki-Patola's New Album Finnish composer and musician Juha Mäki-Patola has released Momentary Movements of Landscapes, his third solo album and first on FatCat Records' post-classical imprint 130701. Momentary Movements Of Landscapes by Juha Mäki-Patola The twelve-track album was built around upright piano and Prophet 10 loops processed through tape echo and reverb, recorded live during the Nordic winter of 2024-2025 in Mäki-Patola's Helsinki studio. The sessions began as intensive improvisations over the course of a few weeks, with the recorded material later developed through overdubs of piano, synthesizer, ambient noise, and voice.
