A cart of boxes hold glass bottles to be filled with seawater on oceanographic research cruises to monitor the marine carbonate system to detect ocean acidification in Alaska's large marine ecosystems. We work on Tanana Dene land at the Troth Yeddha' campus of the University of Alaska Fairbanks. This part of campus was recently rebranded as the Arctic Research Park. Since federal chaos continues, our Arctic Research Cruise was canceled this year. Reminder: The Arctic is acidifying 2-4 times faster than the global oceans.
We are gearing up for several future research cruises to monitor #OceanAcidification. The sidewalks are clear and spring is here! #FieldworkFriday #akwx 🧪🌊🦑🐻❄️
