I enjoyed it. Denzel Washington and Jeffrey Wright are really good, BUT... Last 15-20 mins seemed a bit disjointed. Also, the background music for the action/jumpy moments was just off. Didn't sync.

While I definitely understand a lot of the criticisms & critiques concerning #Highest2Lowest, I think the movie is more so a reflection of Spike Lee's life & perspective at this moment in time than any sign of regression in talent or skill. Denzel is, as always, Denzel. 3.5/5🎧

Whoever is responsible for the soundtrack in #Highest2Lowest owes the world an apology.
That shit would have been tired 20 years ago. Mixing it to the front to stomp all over everything else is not helping!
Just absolutely ruins the movie for me, even tho the movie has plenty of other problems.

I don't know enough about movies or filmmaking to know why it is, but #Highest2Lowest is nearly unwatchable for me. The soundtrack is distracting, but it is more than that. I just can't define what it is about the movie that makes it feel so off.
I suppose I'll finish it eventually. 😀

Finally got a chance to watch #Highest2Lowest and I enjoyed it. Spike Lee figured out how to modernize Kurosawa's original in a distinct and cohesive way, and Denzel is amazing, as usual. Plus, Jeffrey Wright is one of my faves.
