After last seasonโs corresponding challenge meeting at Boston, when the were hammered 18-60, this was a marked improvement, especially after they had just ridden two matches in two days.
Hull in fact, kept Boston down to their narrowest victory this season.

Drury, having struggled in his previous meetings this season, found his best form to finish with 8 points in five rides, while Curoso, riding his own bike for the first time, was impressive and scored twice from 3.

The Boulevard opened its doors to speedway 55 years ago OTD with a challenge meeting against Sunderland. 5,000 turned up to see the Vikings win comfortably 47-25.
To maintain a link to Hull Angels, former captain Mick Mitchell was there as guest of honour.
