Hiver absolutely regrets of having force tried to let Lenoir eat a Najads flesh to turn and safe Lenoir from his curse. He thinks the stress from the act of catching a najad was too much for Lenoir leading to his death.
He has yet to realize what really scared Lenoir to death.
