A satellite picture shows a complex image of mountainous terrain, snow capped with green forest down to blue water with multiple inlets,islands, bays and lakes. There is a ripple bank of clouds in a diagonal line across the wide mouth of the Barkley South. To the northwest side a turquoise color stands out against one edge of beach which is the herring spawn.
