Went by the local No Kings Rally, didn't stay -- not supposed to start there for another hour, but there's no parking nearby. And, really, I am of mixed mind about these things. I went to two of these, and was pleased to be a part of them. But after what? seven million people or so at the last one, things have only gotten worse. If twenty million people show up -- and they decide to support a general strike? That would be useful. Showing this administration that a lot of us don't like them? They don't care. That should be obvious to anybody paying attention by now. So what? Doesn't hurt them in the pocketbook, and they continue what they've been doing. Standing around and waving signs, listening to the old folk singers do Where Have All the Flowers Gone and Blowing in the Wind is feel-good-nice, but it's not enough.
