Under-Secretary-General Rosemary DiCarlo met today with the DPPA-DPO Gender Unit, newly merged under #UN80, who briefed on their plans to advance women, peace and security across UN field missions and strengthen women’s leadership in peace and political processes.
At today’s Humanitarian Dialogue with HCR Barham Salih,🇨🇭reaffirmed its support for UNHCR, the Global Compact on Refugees, advancing durable solutions & current reform processes, including the #HumanitarianReset and the #UN80 initiative.

I greatly enjoyed discussing on the roundtable, moderated by @silkeweinlich.bsky.social/@unssc.bsky.social, with Heidi Fritze/@unfpa.org & @stephanklingebiel.bsky.social/@idos-research.bsky.social about challenges to the #UN, how #Germany should respond, and how #UN80 could help the UN’s resilience.
At today’s UN PGA Dialogue on #UN80, 🇨🇭stressed humanitarian reform must go beyond technical fixes & deliver system-wide change toward a locally led, needs-based response.
🇨🇭also emphasised evidence-based approach to strengthen UN Training & Research System's impact & coherence.
Let’s bundle the expertise and creativity of multilateralists! An open dialogue with civil society in Berlin, organized by @germany.diplo.de and @bmz.de, focussed on the #UN80 reform process. We back efforts to strengthen the #UnitedNations in delivering global solutions.
At the UN Women Executive Board, 🇨🇭 reaffirmed that #UN80 must:
- Strengthen, not weaken, the UN
- Cut bureaucracy & duplication
- Reinforce humanitarian-development synergies
Efficiency gains must enable the UN system to act as #OneUN, uphold its normative role & build on ongoing #UNDS reform.
🇭🇷 Croatia joined the 1st @unwomenboard session today as a newly elected member, committed to constructive partnership.
We support a stronger UN gender equality architecture and meaningful #UN80 reform — and remain focused on delivering results for women & girls.
