Drawing of Dawn but with her full Mask on covering 3/4s of her face. Also another Mitzi

His ego wouldn’t allow him to apologize to Dawn directly or mention her by name. But the media is doing his PR for him.
In the era of NIL, coaching matters. The excellence of Dawn Staley and Dan Hurley continue to stand out.
‘Dawn Staley’
would’ve been so easy to spell.
Stick to the task at hand. #RunYourRace
South Carolina Coach Dawn Staley puts a much needed period to the end of a sentence.
The trouble with Geno is that when he says this is "unlike what I do," unfortunately it is exactly what he does, and has done with many other coaches. He picks fights and insults people who beat him -- and they're invariably women. Not a great look.
Re: Geno’s apology. I think the university president or the athletic director said, you will apologize and here is what we’ve written for you because our men’s team is at the Final Four and they aren’t going to answer questions about your bullshit.
Coach Dawn Staley led South Carolina to its third consecutive national championship game and is the fourth coach in women's basketball history to achieve this feat, joining coaches Joe Ciampi, Pat Summitt, and Geno Auriemma. #BlackskyNews

I just know this is making geno even more mad
Geno today with his 14th regular season HT and first since 3/27/22 v. Wings. Each of his last 6 HTs has come at home, and this was his first v. Panthers.
Today marked Geno's 32nd career game with 4+ points (3-1-4) and first since 2/27/25 v. Flyers (2-2-4). It's his second against the Panthers, as he went 1-3-4 against them on the road on 11/30/13.

Geno's statement if you missed it:
There's no excuse for how I handled the end of the game vs. South Carolina. It's unlike what I do and what our standard is as there's a drive into deep left field by Castellanos, it will be a home run, and so that'll make it a 4–0 ballgame.

Still clownshoes nonsense that Geno wasn’t considered one of the Top 100 NHL players of all time.
ANOTHER MILESTONE FOR GENO! 🤩
Evgeni Malkin is the 23rd player in NHL history to reach the 1,400-point mark!
Like Dawn Staley said, “There are a lot of distractions that are placed in your life. You’re either going to address them and let it overcome you, or you stick with the task at hand. I’m choosing to stick to the task at hand.”
Well Geno, the SC coaches’ name is #DawnStaley. That’s who you owe an apology to. She is the one who took the abuse. My gawd, you are bad at this…

I hope Sarah Strong enters the portal. That would do it for Geno.
As Geno Auriemma apologizes for his ‘uncalled for’ behavior, Dawn Staley has a title game next.
Her words, her players' words, UCLA coach Cori Close's words... and even a few words about basketball, as Staley prepares her team to face Bruins star Lauren Betts:

One of many moments of Dawn Staley signing autographs for fans at South Carolina’s open practice.
She might go around the whole place if she has time.
"I grew up in the projects of North Philly, right? Philly: 215, 267 area code. So, nothing — nothing — can derail us, or me, from staying with the task at hand.”
