The Nazis had a lot of guys like Vought in very powerful positions. These are the type of people who determined that someone in a wheelchair was a drag on the system. They provided little to no economic input, and required output in terms of disability money. The solution - give them a shower.
As somebody who knows economics, public policy, and their combined outcomes, I get what Vought is really saying here.
He’s saying, “Yeah, but you forgot to add in the magic.” See, he’s saying that he’s secretly and exclusively brilliant and we just don’t get it. He’s lying and he knows it.
He’s not as high profile as Musk or Hegseth, but Vought has gleefully created levels of misery at home and abroad that would send a moral person into deep spirals of guilt.

This morning I watched a few minutes of this hearing on C-SPAN. It was jaw-dropping. According to Vought, most of 15 million to 17 million Americans losing their health insurance were fraudsters. He is reptilian. At least he had big circles under his eyes, so perhaps he's not sleeping well.
