John Brooks on VAR last week penalises Martínez for brushing a hand through someone’s hair, yet ignores Gabriel leaning his head into Haaland today. Piss take he was even given such a massive game after the controversy last week. But then again his PGMOL mates said he was right so it’s fine.

I'm really struggling to get beyond not having a serious look at Haaland nearly pulling Gabriel's shirt off his body on the goal.

It wasn't a case of a CB and a striker wrestling. It was completely one-way.

I mean it's a foul by Haaland on Gabriel for the goal. He pulls him backwards and still has his shirt in his hand when he's shooting.

Fine margins, of course. Hit the post twice too, but didn't defend either goal well enough, Haaland too strong for Gabriel for their second. The Brazilian probably lucky not to see red as well.

This title race is gonna go down to the wire. And the wire feels like it's electrocuting my heart.

League was blown at Bournemouth last week. Even a draw would have meant that City would have to rely on other teams to overtake us even with a win today.

And Haaland scoring the winner shows the difference between a striker that can finish and the ones we have. Really disappointing.

The only reason Gabriel isn’t sent off and suspended for three games is Haaland isn’t a diver and didn’t sell it all. He goes down and Gabriel doesn’t play again until May 17.
