Hello vinyl friends. My business is essentially and I’m honestly trying to have fewer internets. If you are interested in buying records from me, you can find me on eBay as cptnbadass (none currently listed, I’m getting there). My personal account is antecubitalfossa.bsky.social ✌️

I’ve always thought this song was a banger, so I was delighted to discover that the guy who wrote it is in the replies on YouTube.
Cover of No Joy’s “Motherhood” record.
Now spinning (engineered by Girls Rock Pgh alum Madeleine Campbell). I used to receive Spravato (esketemine) nasal spray treatments for treatment resistant depression, and this is one of the albums I liked to listen to.
I am pretty sure I have the flu (my kid tested positive). Just gonna lay in bed and listen to music and terrify my cats with my coughing.
I was recommending records by Canadian bands (Fucked Up, Cindy Lee) to someone earlier, but honestly at this point we should probably all be listening to Propagandhi.
Orange Cat Behavior.
Cover of Cindy Lee’s Diamond Jubilee.
Wait, forgot Cindy Lee is a Canadian band.
I’m getting pretty far. We can never move again. If we move again, the records will be un-alphabetical for 7 years again. This is unacceptable.
Cover of Portishead’s Dummy record.
Now spinning. Back to alphabetizing. Will I ever be finished alphabetizing the records?
Cover of Shannon Wright’s Reservoir of Love record on white vinyl.
There’s a new Shannon Wright, but the vinyl version only appears to be available through a label in France. I don’t even have $ for records released in the US right now, but Mental Note To Self.
Cover of Tina Turner’s “Private Dancer” record.
And this one to @ericasmithsexed.bsky.social
Cover from Rush’s “Fly By Night” record.
This one I dedicate to @proglems.bsky.social
Cover of “out of our heads” by The Rolling Stones.
Been real sad, so I started alphabetizing the records again. Found some gems. This would be worth some $$$ but it was my mom’s and she never took care of her records.
Sorry, I got distracted. I’ll put the rest up tomorrow. Better for the algorithm anyway.
Are you into esoteric hip hop 12” records from the 90s? Well you’re in luck, because I’m currently listing a bunch on eBay.
(I say I don’t *think* I have because I am still alphabetizing my family’s Chaotic Evil record collection. Never know what might turn up!).
It has always been my favorite but I have been on a Murmur (which I don’t think I have on vinyl) kick lately.
The thing about Record Store Day is that I’m broke and I need more records like I need a hole in my head, but I am interested in the Slint and Sunn O))).
Cover of the vinyl record Mountain “Climbing.”
My teenager told me to turn down Mississippi Kween.
Cover of Black Sabbath S/T record.
I’ve changed gears a bit. We’re iced in and my general mood is lay-on-the-floor-and-listen-to-records.
Cover of the REM vinyl record “Life’s Rich Pageant.”
I found it. Miles standish proud.
It’s the end of the world as we know it but I prefer So. Central Rain, for what it’s worth.
My kid is heading to a birthday party for a kid who is getting into “vinyls” and likes classic rock. I donated a Neil Young and Jimi Hendrix. Now I’m realizing high school kids prob think of Nirvana & Smashing Pumpkins as classic rock, but he plays guitar so maybe he’ll be inspired. 🤷♀️
The orange one thinks he’s a dj. Can’t let him near any of the records.
Orange kitty curled up on top of a record player.
I haven’t been logging in recently, but I have been:
- watching Twin Peaks
- teaching myself how to play the drums
- alphabetizing our records
- marking down all of my vinyl on eBay and cleaning/listing a bunch of old 45s, if you’re into that sort of thing.
I like the 🍊
George Michael was a huge talent; Freedom 90 is legit one of my favorite songs.
