Native representation is finally coming to reality TV! lol. But seriously, four Indigenous chefs will compete this week on Chopped. The judges panel also includes Sean Sherman, Oglala Lakota, and Prairie Band Potawatomi Chef Pyet DeSpain. Love to see it!! ictnews.org/news/chopped...

Last night, after an hours-long public hearing, Monterey Park became the first city in California to pass an ordinance permanently banning data centers.
The city council voted unanimously to declare data centers a public nuisance, and to "prohibit all data centers within city limits."

There it is
The first panel shows a crow with the title "How to live a good life". The second panel shows a crow cawing at itself in the mirror with the subheading "Make friends". The next panel says "Explore" and shows a crow looking into a commercial waste bin. The next says "Try new things" with a crow eating something vile. The next one says "Be curious" and shows the crow grabbing a hissing cat's tail". The final frame says "Get a hobby" and shows the crow looking closely at a book of matches.

Heyyy, I got quoted in the write-up of results from an @ellipsus.com survey about what creative workers think of genAI.
Spoiler alert: Everyone hates it and places tremendous value on human creativity and in preserving spaces in which that creativity can flourish and be celebrated.

This was in Project 2025, along with repealing the Endangered Species Act & opening Alaska's vulnerable North slope to extraction. It also calls for fucking culling horses & bears
The conservative hunting/fishing types saved us the last time this came up. I don't know if it will be enough this time
Roger that. You'll likely get a letter soon from the IRS with a plan of action to get whatever they need to make the numbers line up. They're so short staffed right now that communication with them is taking longer than ever. I'm sorry you're dealing with this.

You'll need your SSN, filing status & exact refund amount. Though hopefully you'll be able to find out what's going on.
IME, with a significant delay like that it's bc there is a discrepancy, or as you suggest, the retun is complicated.
Good luck, brother.
Alexa Avilés and others cheer, fists raised, as the emcee speaks at the AI Moratorium rally. Kid on the right his holding a sign that reads "A.I. BE LIKE SO CRINGE." Other signs read "AI rots your brain" and "Kids need small classes not A.I."
@cmalexaaviles.bsky.social always shows up.
And check out those signs. My fave is "A.I. BE LIKE SO CRINGE"
Hmm you could be on to something. Did you hear the banger he and Massive Attack put out today?
HB!
Over the fight to protect Pe’Sla, NDN Collective and others are suing the Forest Service. Pe’Sla is a sacred site for the Lakota nestled in the Black Hill and still used for ceremonies. The Forest Service wants to allow drilling for a graphite mine. ictnews.org/news/opponen...
Yeah my tattoo artist balked when I said I wanted to add a beloved pet's ashes to the tattoo ink.

I'm not sure of the details, though to hear her tell it the doctors involved were enthusiastic about her curiosity. She already had a specimen collection going & understood the ongoing care of them, so maybe that helped?
I have good news! I follow a goth TikToker that is putting hers in a specimen jar made of a repurposed gumball machine
