If it’s not the end of the show then it doesn’t need to end on a happily ever ever to be true to the genre. It’s a section break. I’ve read the book, but I’m not really interested in fidelity. I’m interested in how good TV shows are paced and this end doesn’t make me want more.

As a miniseries the end of Heated Rivalry is fine, but with a second season coming I really wish they’d found a way to end on “I’m coming to the cottage.”
