One of the drosera wasted no time catching the first victims of the season. #carnivorousplants #plants
I plan to eventually move to an in ground setup in a couple years, I'm just waiting for the plants to get more established first. Trying to let nature be nature at the moment and let everything thrive on its own. Hopefully seed pollination will eventually be a path for me.
New goal unlocked. After several years of owning sarracenia and never getting them to flower, this year so far I've already spotted 2 future blooms ๐ฅน #plants #carnivorousplants

Most of the plants end up in my compost bin after they expire. Something that was set up by the previous home owner. #plants #gardening
One of the nepenthes pitchers that popped open during winter. My nepenthes are pretty well acclimated to living indoor and outdoor #plants #carnivorousplants #strangerthings #alien
If you ever wondered what the texture of a nepenthes pitcher felt like. #asmr #plants #carniverousplants
Nepenthes are tropical plants. They do not experience dormancy periods, but like any other houseplants their growth may slow down during colder months. #plants #carnivorousplant

Sometimes you just go with the flow when the camera is rolling ๐ #plants #carnivorousplants
So it looks like soon we will have our first gender reveal. If you didn't know nepenthes are dioecious, meaning that each plant is either male or female.
This is the first time that I have had one of my nepenthes bloom so needless to say I'm excited. #plants #carnivorousplants
VFT Ghost showing the signs of making fall/winter traps. These type of traps usually tend to be smaller or more low laying to the ground. #plants #carnivorousplants
Can never have less plants... Or money.
One of the bog violets I purchased as a complimentary plant for my carnivorous bogs. Kinda lack luster from what I was expecting.
These are pretty much the essential BASE mixes for what I use for my collection. I do add in other things like coco chips or sand, but in a pinch depending on the plant one of these combos will get the job done.
One of my favs and also has a nice looking flower.
Sarracenia "Yellow Jacket"
A veteran of my bog setups. Can't wait to see its growth next year. Leaves may not be the showiest color but I like the pics I've seen of its flower blooms. Still waiting for my first one. #plants #carnivorousplants
I would say no. Carnivorous plants also don't really grow that big overall either. You'll see noticeable difference by the end of the growing season. #carnivorousplants #plants
Cereus forbesii 'spiralis'
Spiral Cactus, Tornado Cactus...whatever the cool kids want to call it I guess.
Kinda in my low maintenance plant era at the moment. #plants
Dracaena "Whitney"
Was aquired via trade for ping soil mixture. I still need to pot it was propogated in water. #plants
