I can’t imagine the horror from within. I can barely stand it from a distance. Sympathies.

It is the erosion of professionalism due to online marketplaces platforming kitchen table / mega sellers and warehousers IMHO. My mentor taught me that once a printed book is put on a shelf in the (new) bookstore, it is no longer ‘fine’.

Really good speech from Carney at the World Economic Forum today.

Genuinely gives the impression he understands the gravity of the moment, which is why I'm struggling to square it with his actual actions and policy re: the United States.

JD Vance tweet reads: “While l'm sure the causes are complicated, no nation has leaned more into "diversity is our strength, we don't need a melting pot we have a salad bowl" immigration insanity than Canada.
It has the highest foreign-born share of the population in the entire G7 and its living standards have stagnated.”

The fault lies with your leadership, elected by you.”

Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day – a time to raise awareness for the ongoing impacts of residential school and remember the children who never came home.
