(2/2) I'm also a fan of the Zork-like text-adventure/interactive-fiction work "Augmented Fourth" (by Brian Uri) which made me laugh with its musical puns and animals in an underground volcano. This game-story was released about 26 years ago, but it's still fresh and fun!

I grew up in Chigago (in Illinois near the Wisconsin border.) When I was a kid, Illinois had some laws against fireworks sales, while dairy-rich Wisconsin had laws against yellow dye in magarine. On the highway near the border, billboards touted either FIREWORKS or OLEO based on driving direction.
Idiots are everywhere, and their most effective skill is making the rest of us cringe when we get unfairly lumped together with them in a group. Collective blame is so popular despite being a logical fallacy. But it's hard to resist something so much a part of human nature.
My brain refuses to accept just how BIG elephant seals are, with male southern elephant seals (Mirounga leonina) reaching 4,000 kg (8,000 lbs).
They also, apparently, have strong views on internal combustion engines.
But I want to talk about how they dive WHILE SLEEPING.
Why a duck? Is it a sitting duck with webbed feet on the captain's chair?
Interesting question! I will think about this, but I suspect that I may need help to understand it better.
A centrist might fare better in SOME midterm races. But if a state/district leans toward a more progressive candidate, why not go with the flow? Also Magyar strategically avoided giving clear positions on specific controversies, narrowing his focus to oppose corruption & non-Hungarian bullies.
I really like "All Systems Red" and the whole Murderbot series. The tv series is also well-done, but not quite the same in terms of plot details or character perspective.
