I’d say by far the most important step I made was talking to ppl about the game instead of tryna solo the journey.

Besides that, i follow the improvement models described in The Mental Game of Poker 1 and 2, along with how long they recommend grinding and i think that that had the biggest impact.

i was legit #102 in 2022 and if i was ranked even one spot higher I would’ve quit and looked back on my time in melee with mostly disdain. I’m glad I wasn’t ranked and kept playing. A lot of my bad melee memories have been slowly replaced by genuinely good times and i’m really appreciative of it.

I have so much I want to say about the journey to getting here but there's genuinely too much. This is so much harder than anyone thinks it is and I'm so happy to finally, finally, finally be top 100.

i had the same issue with ffxvi and the witcher 3 when i played those. I need character banter while i’m moving between set pieces like kratos and co. in the god of war remakes, or the ffxv bros, or the ff7 rebirth group

Playing Ghost of Tsushima and I think if you don’t have a small party of extremely like-able characters there’s no point in the game being open world. Why am I traveling 500m on horseback every time I want something barely interesting to happen.
